Regarded as perhaps the finest male basketball player in York's 50-year history, David Coulthard was named an all-Canadian five times. Twice, he won the Mike Moser Memorial Trophy as most valuable player in Canada and twice he was selected York's male athlete of the year. Led by Coulthard, York won four OUAA championships between 1977 and 1982.
