Cyrus Darius joined the Lions coaching staff in 2014. He is an A & B NCCP-certified coach, focusing on freestyle wrestling.
Born in Iran, he started to wrestle at the age of 14 and won numerous provincial and national medals in his home country. He attended the Iranian national wrestling team camp in 1998, where he trained with some of the best wrestlers and coaches in the world, such as Ali Dabir, Gholam Mohammadi, Behnam Tayebi, Alireza Haydari, Abbas Jadidi and Rassol Khadem.
He was forced to retire from competition after suffering a serious injury soon after the camp, and since then has been actively involved in coaching.
