The York University Lions women's rugby team defeated the Trent Excalibur on Saturday (Sept. 24) by a score of 45-25 on the road in Peterborough, Ont., for their second win of the season.

The Lions rolled offensively with outstanding performances from
Tobi Owotomo (Mississauga, Ont.), who scored a game-high three tries, and
Dorrian Khouri (Brampton, Ont.), who scored two.

Tia Anderson-Hudson (Mississauga, Ont.) and
Sasha Seymour (Mississauga, Ont.) also added one try each to help put the game away from a persistent Excalibur team.Â

The win helps bring the Lions to a 2-1 record on the season and they now hold the third spot in the OUA Russell Division standings.

The Lions' next game will take place on Friday (Sept. 30) against the Toronto Varsity Blues at the York Rugby Field in their final regular-season home game.
