The Athletics & Recreation facilities at York University are located in the northwest corner of the Keele campus, just east of Jane St. and south of Steeles Ave. There are many different ways to reach the facilities, including driving or taking any one of a number of city buses.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS | View directions
From Highway 401
  • Take Hwy. 401 to Keele St.
  • Exit at Keele St. and go north (follow the posted detour signs)
  • Turn left on Steeles Ave.
  • Turn left on Founders Rd.
  • Turn right on Ian MacDonald Blvd. (at the roundabout)
  • Follow Ian MacDonald Blvd. to sport and recreation facilities
From Highway 407
  • Take Hwy. 407 to Keele St.
  • Exit at Keele St. and go south
  • Turn right on Steeles Ave.
  • Turn left on Founders Rd.
  • Turn right on Ian MacDonald Blvd. (at the roundabout)
  • Follow Ian MacDonald Blvd. to sport and recreation facilities
From Highway 400 (southbound)
  • Take Hwy. 400 south to Hwy. 7
  • Exit onto Hwy. 7 and go east
  • Turn right on Jane St.
  • Turn left on Steeles Ave.
  • Turn right on Murray Ross Parkway
  • Turn left on Shoreham Dr. (at the end of the street, Tennis Canada will be in front)
  • Turn left on Ian MacDonald Blvd.
  • Follow Ian MacDonald Blvd. to sport and recreation facilities
From Highway 400 (northbound)
  • Take Hwy. 400 north to Steeles Ave.
  • Exit onto Steeles Ave. and go east
  • Turn right on Murray Ross Parkway
  • Turn left on Shoreham Dr. (at the end of the street, Tennis Canada will be in front)
  • Turn left on Ian MacDonald Blvd.
  • Follow Ian MacDonald Blvd. to sport and recreation facilities
 
PARKING | Parking at York

Paid parking is available throughout York University's campus via HONK mobile payments for all hourly/daily parking locations.  Visit York University's Parking Services for full details. If you have any questions regarding parking, please contact Parking Services at 416-736-5335.

The nearest available parking locations are:
  • Northwest Gate Lot (North or South) – South of Steeles
  • Thompson Rd Lot (South of Tait McKenzie Centre) – access from Ian MacDonald Blvd., off the south side of the roundabout and on the south side of the Tait McKenzie Centre (use the road to the east of the Tait McKenzie Centre)
  • Founders Rd. East Visitors Lot – access from Founders Rd.
  • Arboretum Lane Parking Garage – access from Shoreham Dr. and Ian MacDonald Blvd.
  • Shoreham Rd Lot – access from Shoreh(South of Canlan arena) - access from Ian MacDonald Blvd.

PUBLIC TRANSIT | Public transit to York
The athletics and recreation facilities at York are accessible by a number of different transit routes through a variety of transit companies.
 
Toronto Transit (TTC)
York University has two TTC subway stations on campus along the Yonge-University (Line 1) subway route: York University Station and Pioneer Village Station. The closest station to get to the Tait McKenzie Centre, York Lions Stadium and Alumni Field is Pioneer Village Station. Once you get off at Pioneer Village, all venues are a short walk away.

GO Transit
Travel by GO Bus to Hwy 407 Bus Terminal, then transfer for FREE with One Fare to TTC Line 1 to get to Pioneer Village. From there, it's a short walk to all athletics and recreation facilities, including Tait McKenzie Centre, York Lions Stadium and Alumni Field.

Brampton Transit's Zum Bus Rapid Transit service runs along Queen Street from downtown Brampton to York University.
