The York University Lions men's volleyball team makes its debut on home court on Friday evening when the squad welcomes the No. 3 nationally-ranked McMaster Marauders to the Tait McKenzie Centre.

Last MeetingThe Marauders swept the season series between the two teams last year, winning both in straight sets. The last time the Lions defeated the Marauders was in 2013, when they won the season finale in straight sets to prevent McMaster from an undefeated season.
QUICK FACTS York- The Lions went 1-1 on opening weekend on the road. They began the year with a thrilling four-set victory over Waterloo, one of the three teams that finished ahead of them in the standings last year. However, the next day they lost to the Guelph Gryphons.
- The Lions began the year at No. 9 in the CIS rankings and moved up to No. 8 in Week 2. It marked the first time in more than eight years that the Lions had earned a spot in the national rankings.
McMaster- The Marauders opened the year with a narrow 3-2 loss to Western but have since won three straight matches, all in straight sets over Windsor, Toronto and Ryerson.
- The Marauders are the defending OUA champions, claiming their second straight banner in 2014. They have won five of the last seven conference titles. At the CIS championships last year they were upset by Western in the semifinals but went on to win the bronze medal, which also gave the OUA a third berth at this year's national tournament.
- The Marauders are ranked No. 3 in the CIS and have appeared in 37 straight polls dating back to Week 8 in 2011.

Ray Szeto – A two-time OUA all-star and CIS all-Canadian is the reigning OUA scoring champion. He is currently fifth in the OUA with 4.4 points per set and 4.00 kills per set.

Josh Henderson – The rookie outside hitter is off to a tremendous start to his CIS career. He is ranked sixth in OUA scoring (4.1 points per set), sixth in kills per set (3.50) and tied for eighth in digs per set (2.00).
McMaster M Dany Demyanenko – The former OUA rookie of the year is tied for ninth in OUA scoring with 3.9 points per set. He is 16
th in kills per set (2.86) and leads the conference with 17 blocks.
OH Brandon Koppers – Tied for 15
th in the OUA with 3.5 points per set and is tied for 10
th in the conference with 3.14 points per set. He was a member of the OUA all-rookie team last year.
