TICKETS & SEASON PASSES

Tickets & Season Passes on Sale

 

All spectators must have a valid ticket for any regular or post-season event.  Tickets are valid for BOTH games of a doubleheader.  For a fast and smooth entry secure your Mobile or E-ticket online at yorkulions.ca/tickets before you arrive. 

York University students are FREE during the regular season and select play-offs.  Reserve your ticket online for each event or show your YU Card at the venue's ticket kiosk.

Tickets and Season Passes may be purchased online or at the venue's ticket kiosk beginning 1 hour prior to each event.  Receive a special member gift for each Season Pass purchased.  

ONLY Debit and credit (Visa or Mastercard) may be used for on-site ticket purchases.  Cash will NOT be accepted.

Tickets are NOT required for any pre-season or non-conference events OR regular season Rugby and Field Hockey games.

York Lions merchandise is available year-round in the Pride Shop located in the Tait McKenzie Centre, at select varsity events and online at yorkulions.ca/prideshop
 



FOOD & BEVERAGE

 

Food and beverage concessions are available at York Lions Stadium during football and select soccer games, as well as during all hockey games within Canlan Sports arena.

Water refilling stations are available for guests at Tait McKenzie Centre and York Lions Stadium.

There are many food options on campus; visit York University's Food Services Dining Directory.

Guests are welcome to bring outside food and non-alcoholic beverages to York Lions varsity events.  This does not apply to external or third party events.  Alcohol not purchased inside the venue is strictly prohibited at all times.


VENUE POLICIES

Event Access. Event doors or gates are open one (1) hour prior to all other York Lions events.  

Payment Types. ONLY Debit and Credit (Visa and Mastercard) will be accepted at venue ticket kiosks and most concessions at York Lions sporting venues.  Some external food vendors (food trucks) may accept cash.

ATMs. Bank machines can be found throughout the campus.  Those closest to the York Lions athletics facilities are located in the Curtis Lecture Halls.

Service Animals. Only official service animals are permitted inside any York Lions sporting venues.

Photo/Videography. Hand-held cameras are permitted for personal use.  Cameras with telescopic lenses and video cameras are prohibited.  Any commercial photography is prohibited without appropriate accreditation.  Event Staff are authorized to evict guests violating these photography policies.

Field of Play. For the safety of our student-athletes and spectators, at no time before, during or after a game are spectators permitted to enter the playing field.  Access to strictly limited to participating student-athletes, coaches, officials, event staff and properly accredited individuals.

Post-Game. Family and friends of athletes and coaching staff are asked to make arrangements to meet outside of the venue post-game.

Smoking and Vaping. All York Lions sporting venues are non-smoking facilities.  Smoking and Vaping are not permitted indoors (including within the open-air stadium perimeter) or within nine (9) metres of an entrance/exit.  Smoking and Vaping are also not permitted on or around practice/sports fields and surfaces.  

Prohibited Items:

  • Alcohol or any other illegal substances
  • Weapons and fireworks
  • Noisemakers (amplified megaphones, whistles, air horns, sirens)
  • Large flags, flagpoles and items which could obstruct sightlines
  • Throwing of any objects
  • Banners, placards and leaflets not pre-approved by York Athletics & Recreation


SAFETY

During an event, if you or someone around you is experiencing any security or medical concerns or emergencies, please contact the nearest event staff member.  Guests with pre-existing medical conditions or special needs are encouraged to check in with the event team before being seated.

If no assistance is in the immediate area, in the event of a life-threatening emergency, for example a medical emergency, fire or crime in progress we ask that you contact 911 directly, and then contact security services at 416-736-5333 (or extension 33333).  York Security meets and expedites emergency vehicles directly to the scene of the emergency so that valuable time is not lost searching for a particular building or location. 

There are always marked event staff available throughout the venue game day.  If you have a concern or a question, please do not hesitate to contact one of them.  

goSAFE – Why Walk Alone?  York offers a complimentary service to help students, faculty, staff, and their guests safely get from one on-campus location to another.  goSAFE staff members, by request, will walk you to and from any on-campus location, such as any of the Campus Shuttle on-campus pick-up / drop-off locations, parking lots, bus stops or residences.  Service is available on the Keele Campus from 6:00pm to 2:00am (Sept to Apr), 8:00pm to 2:00am (Summer).  To request someone to walk with you contact goSAFE by dialing 416-736-5454 (or extension 55454), using any of the Blue Light Emergency Phones, by payphone on campus (it's free) or by the goSAFE button on any campus Safety phone.  For more information visit York University's goSAFE and download the Safety App today!

Ontario University Athletics, its member institutions and their teams are committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for all fans, in the stadium, gymnasium, arena and university campus facilities.  We want all fans attending OUA games to enjoy the experience in a responsible fashion.  When attending a game, spectators are required to refrain from the following behaviours:
 

  • Behaviour that is unruly, disruptive or illegal in nature;
  • Interference with the progress of the game, including throwing objects and/or unauthorized person on the field of play;
  • Intoxication or other signs of alcohol impairment that results in irresponsible behaviour;
  • Foul and/or abusive language and/or obscene gestures;
  • Verbal or physical harassment of opposing team fans, officials, opponents or other person;
  • Intentionally sitting or standing in areas which obstruct the passage and/or view of other spectators;
  • Failing to follow instructions of university staff.

Event patrons are responsible for their conduct as well as the conduct of their guests.  University staff will promptly intervene to support an environment where event patrons, their guests and other fans can enjoy the event free from the above behaviour.  Event patrons and guests who violate these provisions will be subject to ejection without refund and loss of ticket privileges for future games.
