The York University Lions men's hockey team recorded a road win against the Brock Badgers with a score of 2-1 on Friday (Nov. 28), snapping a three-game skid and getting back into the win column.

Michael Santini (Woodbridge, Ont.) scored the first goal in the first period of the game at 5:39. Santini now has a total of six goals in the season.

The Badgers equalized through a power play goal after the first intermission at 16:21. Andrew Radjenovic scored the goal through a pass from Sammy Banga.

Just seconds before the second period buzzer, the Lions took the lead once more through a team goal during a power play.
Tyler McGee (Timmins, Ont.) fired the Lions to victory with supporting plays from
Dylan Smoskowitz (Richmond Hill, Ont.) and
Trevor Petersen (Thornhill, Ont.).

Chris Perugini (King City, Ont.) had a busier time in his post than his counterpart Clint Windsor. Perugini made 32 saves while Windsor managed 26.

The Lions improved to 6-10-0 with the win, while the Badgers dropped to 6-7-1 on the season.
On Saturday, the Lions will host the nationally-ranked Windsor Lancers in Canlan Ice Sports for the ALS Awareness Game. Despite facing a tough match against the division leaders, who have 69 goals so far in the season, the home team will be looking for an emphatic victory to boost their position in the league.
