QUICK FACTS

York
  • The Lions got off to a fast start to the year with a pair of wins over Windsor and Western that moved them into the top 10 in the CIS, at No. 10. They have since dropped three of their last four, most recently defeating RMC and falling to Queen's last weekend.
  • The Lions have already allowed 12 sets this season, tied for the second most in the OUA.
  • Prior to Sunday's game, the Lions are in North Bay, Ont., on Saturday to face the Nipissing Lakers in a battle of two teams sitting on .500 records.

Guelph
  • The Gryphons began the year with a three-game losing streak but finally got into the win column on Halloween with a straight-sets victory over Windsor.
  • In their most recent contest, the Gryphons were defeated 3-1 by Waterloo, the reigning OUA silver medallists.
  • Last year the Gryphons finished tied for seventh in the OUA standings but missed out on the post-season after losing the tiebreaker to Windsor. Despite missing out on the playoffs, their result marked a four-win improvement from the previous season.
