The York University Lions men's volleyball team is looking to rekindle the magic from its season-opening weekend at home when the squad returns to the Tait McKenzie Centre this weekend for a pair of games against the RMC Paladins and Queen's Gaels.

Last MeetingsThe Lions swept the season series with the Paladins last year, winning both matches by 3-0 scores. They allowed the Paladins an average of only 16 points per set en route to the victories.

Saturday's game against the Gaels is a rematch of last year's OUA quarter-final, which the Lions came back to win in four sets after dropping the first. The Gaels won both regular-season meetings, taking the first 3-1 and the second in straight sets. The two squads also faced off once in the pre-season this year, with Queen's winning in five sets at the Ryerson Invitational.

York- The last time they were on home court, the Lions posted a thrilling five-set comeback victory over then-No. 7 nationally-ranked Western to start the year 2-0, following a season-opening victory over Windsor.

Queen's- The Gaels have alternated wins and losses through their first three matches of the season. They started with a sweep of their Kingston rivals, RMC, in the opener before hosting Ryerson and Toronto last weekend, falling to the Rams in straight sets and defeating the Varsity Blues 3-0.
- The Gaels went 6-3 in the pre-season, including finishing as the silver medallists at Ryerson's tournament.
- Queen's finished two points behind the Lions in the regular-season last year at 12-8, good for fifth place in the OUA standings.
