QUICK FACTS

York
  • Since a tough loss to No. 3 Guelph at home two weeks ago, the Lions have won three games in a row and outscored their opponents 12-3 in that stretch. The highlight of the run was a huge 5-2 victory over the rival McMaster Marauders, currently ranked No. 9 in U SPORTS, and they also defeated Laurier twice by scores of 4-0 and 3-1.
  • The Lions started the season with a 1-0 loss to Western but earned a 2-0 victory over Windsor the next day, a contest in which they outshot the Lancers 24-0 and forced Windsor's  goalie to make 15 saves.
  • The Lions have scored 15 goals in six games, the second-best mark in the division.
  • This week marks the second in a row the Lions have not been in the U SPORTS national rankings. They had been in the top 10 for 59 straight polls dating back to the 2010 season.

Brock
  • The Badgers got their 2017 campaign off to a great start with a pair of victories on opening weekend, both by a single goal over Laurier and Waterloo.
  • They followed that up with a 2-2 draw against Windsor and then back-to-back losses to Guelph and Western, both by a 1-0 score.
  • The Badgers have already equaled the win total they put up last year, when they finished with a 2-10-4 record and in eighth place in the OUA West standings.
