The York University men's volleyball team defeated the RMC paladins 3-0 to earn their second win this season on Sunday afternoon at SAM gymnasium in Kingston, Ont.
 
After a tough 3-1 loss yesterday afternoon against the Queen's Gaels, the Lions, who sit in the middle of the pack in the OUA East division, took on the Paladins who are in last place with a 0-8 record on the season. The Lions topped the RMC Paladins through three sets to win the match.
 
The Lions took a 1-0 lead on the Paladins after winning the first set by a score of 25-17. The second set the Paladins made a comeback attempt but fell short to the Lions who took the set 25-23 to gain a 2-0 lead. The Lions won the last and final set by a score of 25-17 with 15 kills and 29 total attacks to win the match.
 
The Lions were led by Andrew Tauhid, who is among the top-five in the OUA in kills per set, earning ten points, ten kills and one dig, and Dan Everton with 19 assists, five kills and seven digs. RMC was led by Dale Towe with 16 points, 15 kills and six digs.
 
The Lions will be back at home to take on the Ryerson Rams on Nov. 23 at Tait Mackenzie Centre. The game is scheduled to start at 8pm.
