The York University Lions men's volleyball team fought to the end as they battled against the No. 7 nationally ranked University of Toronto Varsity Blues. The Lions went back-and-forth for set-wins during their last regular season game, which ended in a 3-2 loss for the Lions.
 
Veteran Andrew Shotbolt finished his final game as a Lion with 20 points. Right behind Shotbolt was Andrew Tauhid, who scored 12 points for York. Dan Everton also helped the Lions to 30 assists this game. 

The Lions started off on the right foot, finishing the first set 25-16. The Blues, however, found their footing in the second set as they beat the Lions by four points to finish the set 25-21. The Lions took the third set 25-19 and the Blues came back in the fourth to tie the game.
 
It was the Blues, however, who finished the fifth set 15-11 to take the win against the Lions.
 
This was the last game of the season for the Lions who finished 7-11 this season. The Blues, meanwhile, ended the year 17-1 and atop the OUA East Division and will have home court advantage throughout the playoffs.
