OFFENCE POWERS LAKERS TO 3-0 WIN OVER YORK

The York University Lions men's volleyball team dropped their contest to the Nipissing Lakers 3-0 Saturday night in North Bay, Ont.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Lions got behind early in the first set, with the Lakers going up 14-7 in the early stages. The Lions found their footing in the later stage of the set, going on a 7-0 run late to make the score close, but it ultimately wasn't enough to seal the set victory.
  • Nipissing handled the later sets 25-13 and 25-18, rubberstamping the straight sets win over York.
LOOKING AHEAD
 
York has completed their schedule pre-holiday break, and will return to action against the Queen's Gaels on Friday, Jan. 14 in Kingston, Ont.
