For the second game in a row, the York University Lions women's hockey team dropped a tightly contested contest to the No. 1 nationally ranked Toronto Varsity Blues by a score of 4-1.

The loss drops York's record to 2-10-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After scoring against York at Canlan Friday, Taylor Trussler picked up right where she left off by opening the scoring on the power play for the Blues at 11:35 for the only goal of the opening period.
- Toronto added three more goals before York scored their lone goal of the contest, off the stick of Tayler Murphy on the power play. Julia Cuccia and Sydney Paulson drew the assists.Â

The Lions will next hit the ice Wednesday against the Rams, before playing Queen's in a home-and-home to finish off the 2021-22 regular season on Mar. 4 and 5. Â
