The Lions men's volleyball team is set to travel to Waterloo this weekend for a two-game series against the Warriors. The action begins on Friday at 7:30 p.m., followed by the second game on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
The Lions are coming off a strong opening weekend, having secured back-to-back wins against the TMU Bold. Their dominant performance has been reflected in the early-season OUA statistics, showcasing the team's significant offensive depth.
Alex Dorling currently sits second in the OUA for hitting percentage at .583, closely followed by fellow Lion Dennis Cota at .500. Further emphasizing the team's firepower, Colby Soolsma is currently sitting in third place for total points with 31. This potent attack has been expertly orchestrated by setter Jasraj Nijjar, who is currently leading the province in assists per set with 11.
This series marks the season opener for the Waterloo Warriors. The Warriors will undoubtedly be seeking redemption, as they dropped back-to-back matches against the Lions when the teams met last season.
