2012: Appeared in seven games as a defensive back … Finished fourth on the team with 26 tackles … Also had one interception (returned 30 yards) and five pass break-ups … Led the Lions with 10 kickoff returns for 178 yards, and 19 punt returns for 97 yards … Is also a top student, winning the team’s Gridiron Scholar Award for Academic Excellence.
 
2011: Appeared in seven games at defensive back as a rookie … Was the co-recipient of the team’s Jeff Johnson Rookie of the Year Award … Led the OUA with four interceptions … Finished eighth on the team in tackles with 25 … Also led the Lions with 35 punt returns for 268 yards, and had nine kickoff returns for 149 yards … His 35 punt returns rank fourth on York’s all-time single-season list.
 
High school: Participated in football and track and field at St. Thomas Aquinas S.S. … Won the team’s MVP award in 2009 … Earned Golden Horseshoe Region all-star team honours.
