FITNESS INSTRUCTOR
 
Primary Responsibilities: Provide instruction in varied areas of Fitness, Cross-Training, Circuit, Boot Camp, etc.
Qualifications: Must have necessary requirements and the ability to lead in a group format and communicate effectively
Requirements: Must have current personal training and/or fitness instructor certifications (CSEP-CPT, CPTN, WITS, CanFitPro, OFC) and CPR/First Aid
Time Frame & Hours per Week: 1 Hour classes occur throughout the day

Deadlines to Apply
- Spring Applications: April 1st
- Fall/Winter Applications: August 1st

- All staff are required to attend the orientation and training sessions

FITNESS CENTRE ATTENDANT

Primary responsibilities: Fitness Centre floor supervision, enforcement of area policies & procedures.
Qualifications: Strong knowledge & background of proper exercise protocols, ability to demonstrate correct exercise technique to others, outgoing & enthusiastic individual
Requirements: Must have current CPR & First Aid certifications, must be work/study eligible, ability to work a variety of shifts within Fitness Centre hours of operation, KINE students preferred
Hours per week:  6-10 hours/week.

- Fall/Winter Applications: August 1st

  • Complete Parts 1, 2 and 3 of the Core Knowledge Assessment and submit along with your resume and cover letter

PERSONAL TRAINER

Primary responsibilities: Provide personal training services to Fitness Centre members.
Qualifications: Strong knowledge of accepted personal training practices, ability to create a structured and progressive exercise training program for a variety of fitness levels, ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals.
Requirements: Must have current personal training and/or fitness instructor certifications (CSEP-CPT, CPTN, WITS, CanFitPro, OFC) and CPR/First Aid
Hours per week:  Hours/week based on client load & schedules

- Spring Applications: April 1st
- Fall/Winter Applications: August 1st
