Alumni Stadium is a versatile outdoor sports venue designed for varsity athletics, community sport rentals and medium-sized events. Originally constructed in 1995, the venue has undergone upgrades and now features a high-quality synthetic turf surface, flexible field markings for football, soccer, rugby, field-hockey, and spectator amenities to support collegiate and community sport. It remains home to the York Lions’ field-hockey and rugby teams, and has hosted training camps for professional clubs like the Toronto Argos. Home of the 2014 & 2015 U-SPORT Champion York Lions Men’s Soccer Team, Alumni Stadium is lined for Soccer, Football and Field Hockey.  Alumni Stadium also played host to the 2015 and 2017 Toronto Argonauts training camps.  Constructed in 1995, the field was upgraded in 2013 to a FieldTurf One-Star FIFA rated turf, one of the best available playing surfaces.

GRASS FIELDS

With four grass fields and one softball/baseball field, the Athletics and Recreation is  able to meet all of your outdoor athletics and recreation needs.  All of our fields, with the exception of the softball/baseball field, are equipped with lights for nighttime play.
