YORK LIONS STADIUM

Located on the Keele Campus of York University in North York (Toronto, Ontario), York Lions Stadium is a modern, multi-use sports and athletics venue designed for high-performance competition, university sport, and community events.
Originally constructed for the 2015 Pan American and Parapan American Games, the facility now serves as a premier home for professional clubs (York United FC, AFC Toronto, and TFC II), varsity teams, and major sporting events — combining elite athletic standards with a vibrant campus atmosphere.

  • Permanent seating capacity of approximately 4,000 spectators with flexibility to expand for larger events
  • State-of-the-Art Videoboard/Scoreboard and Sound System
Playing Surface & Field Dimensions
  • The original running track was removed in a major 2021 renovation, allowing for a larger field surface dedicated to sports such as football, soccer and rugby. 
  • Artificial turf installed by FieldTurf, certified to FIFA Quality Pro standards.
  • The playing field accommodates a full CFL-size field (100 yards goal-line to goal-line + two 20-yard end zones) and an international soccer field size of approx. 105 m × 65 m. 
  • The venue is now designed to operate year-round, with a seasonal air-supported dome (450 ft × 250 ft × 75 ft) covering the turf for approximately 4-5 months of the year.
