2025 OUA Swimming Championship Recap
Eric Ginsberg made waves at the OUA Swimming Championship, delivering a stellar performance in the pool. With an impressive haul of one gold, two silver, and one bronze medal, he showcased his versatility and competitive edge. His highlight moment came in the 50m Butterfly, cementing his place among the top swimmers, in addition to his medal count, Eric's performance was highlighted by new OUA record times in the 50m Butterfly (23.56) and the 100m Butterfly (52.57). Eric Ginzburg capped off an incredible season with a dominant performance at the U SPORTS Swimming Championships in Toronto. The third-year kinesiology & health science major won all four events he competed in, securing gold in the 50m and 100m freestyle as well as the 50m and 100m butterfly. Ginzburg set a U SPORTS record in the 50m butterfly with a time of 23.05 and narrowly won the 100m freestyle by just two one-hundredths of a second. His outstanding performance earned him his third York athlete of the week award this season and fourth overall.
