A message from the Badminton Club:

We provide opportunities for players of all levels (beginners to advanced) to engage in the sport through regular practice sessions, matches, and tournaments. We want to build a diverse and welcoming environment that fosters connections among York University students, alumni, and faculty members. Additionally, we offer a platform for members to improve their technical and strategic abilities in badminton through coaching, mentorship, or competitive play.
 

Our Mission:

Promote Badminton: Provide opportunities for players of all skill levels to participate in the sport, whether for recreational enjoyment or competitive development.

Foster Community: Create a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages social interaction, teamwork, and camaraderie among York University students, alumni, and staff.

Enhance Skills: Support the improvement of badminton skills through practice sessions, friendly matches, and competitive tournaments.

Encourage Health and Wellness: Promote physical activity and a healthy lifestyle through regular engagement in badminton.

Bryan Yang had a standout debut season, earning the titles of OUA Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year—an extraordinary achievement for a first-year athlete. His skill and determination on the court also secured him a spot as an OUA All-Star, playing a key role in leading his team to a bronze medal finish. Brian’s remarkable performance cements him as one of the brightest rising stars in OUA badminton.

Chloe Lee made an immediate impact in her debut season, earning the prestigious OUA Rookie of the Year title. Her talent and dedication played a crucial role in her team’s success, contributing to their bronze medal finish. With a strong start to her university badminton career, Chloe has established herself as a rising star in the OUA.

Victor Lai’s outstanding performance throughout the season earned him OUA All-Star recognition. His skill, consistency, and competitive spirit made him a key contributor to his team’s success, solidifying his reputation as one of the top players in the league. Sophia Wong’s exceptional performance throughout the season earned her OUA All-Star recognition. Her skill, determination, and unwavering dedication made her a crucial asset to her team’s success, establishing her as one of the top players in the league.
