A message from the Cheerleading Club:
The
York University Cheerleading team consists of student-athletes committed to enhancing school spirit and raising community awareness. The program has a competitive season during which the team competes at events around Ontario. They also participate in various charity and corporate events within and outside of the York community. The prime focus of the
York University Cheerleading team is to support and promote
York University by encouraging involvement in student life at York. We take great pride in helping build a strong community while facilitating the development of our student-athletes, who are committed to balancing academics, rigorous training, and competition schedules. Like other organized sports, our club empowers students to lead active and healthy lifestyles while learning valuable skills and lessons that foster personal and professional growth.

Practice Schedule:
Practices are held 3 days a week at Limelight Cheerleading Allstars located at 7700 Keele St #8a, Vaughan, ON L4K 2A1.
Tuesday & Thursday: 8:30 pm-10:30 pm
Sunday: 6:30 pm-9:30 pm
Competition Dates:
- PCA- Saturday, February 15, 2025, Brampton, ON
- Cheer Challenge Cup- Saturday, March 22-Sunday March 23, 2025, Blue Mountain, ON
- Canadian Cheer Nationals- Sunday, April 6, 2025, Niagara Falls, ONÂ
