Esteban Clavijo

Esteban is a Certified Athletic Therapist with extensive experience in high-performance sport, particularly within elite soccer. His professional experience includes working with

athletes at Toronto FC II, as well as within the Canadian Premier League and League1 Ontario.

Esteban holds a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from York and a Master's degree in Rehabilitation for Football from the University of Central Lancashire. His advanced education and experience in professional soccer have provided him with a strong background in injury assessment, rehabilitation, return to sport and the physical demands of high-performance athletes.

Esteban also has a longstanding connection to York Lions athletics. He competed as a member of York University's Track & Field and Cross Country teams from 2010 to 2015 and continues to compete as a distance runner and marathoner. His experience as both a varsity athlete and Certified Athletic Therapist gives him a valuable perspective on the physical demands of competitive sport and the rehabilitation process.

Esteban is excited to return to York in a professional capacity and contribute to the York Sport Injury Clinic, supporting the health, rehabilitation and performance of the next generation of York Lions student-athletes.
