Lisa McRae

Lisa McRae became an assistant coach with the Lions field hockey team in 2015, and she is also a coach with the Dolphins Field Hockey Club in Scarborough, Ont.
 
She had a long, distinguished playing career, first at L’Amoreaux Collegiaute and the Ookpiks club. She then went on to play for the Toronto Varsity Blues for five seasons (1981-85), winning three OWIAA championships and two CIAU titles and serving as team captain for her final two seasons. She was inducted into the University of Toronto Sports Hall of Fame in 2012.
 
McRae was also a member of the Ontario provincial team and then the Canadian national team. She helped the national team win bronze medals at the 1986 World Cup and the 1987 Pan American Games, and went on to help Canada finish in sixth place at the 1988 Summer Olympic Games in Seoul.
