Deno Bent joined the Lions in 2015 to reunite with head coach Warren Craney, who he previously played under at Concordia University. He began his playing career at Agincourt Collegiate Institute in Scarborough, Ont., where he was a league all-star. He went on to Vanier College and then Central Michigan University before returning to Canada with the Stingers. He was a linebacker on some tremendous Concordia defences that were ranked among the top nationally. Bent is a coach with the Scarborough Thunder and assists coaching at Pickering High School.
