Jon Kronemeyer

Jon Kronemeyer joined the Lions coaching staff in 2013 to work with the quarterbacks alongside Bob Rainford.

He is also the head coach and offensive coordinator of the Halton Cowboys senior varsity team in the OVFL, and also leads football-specific training clinics for youth players. He began his coaching career as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach with the OFC’s Niagara Storm and has also served as a guest coach with the McMaster Marauders.

Kronemeyer had a tremendous playing career as a quarterbacks, leading A.N. Myer S.S. to back-to-back Division I championships to earn the No. 2 quarterback rating coming out of high school. He continued his career at Concordia University, where he was the starting quarterback for the Stingers in the 1998 Vanier Cup after leading the squad to the Dunsmore Cup and Atlantic Bowl titles. He was a captain with the Stingers for three years, earned the Shrine Bowl MVP award in 2001 and was invited to the Montreal Alouettes training camp that same season.
