Roy Venier joined the Lions coaching staff in 2013, returning to the program where he spent four seasons as a player.
He remains one of the top kickers in York football history. He led the team in scoring in each of his four seasons and was a second-team OUA all-star in 2001. He holds the York record for the longest field goal (53 yards) and is tied for the most field goals made in a game (5-for-5). He is also the program’s all-time points leader, with 218.
Venier has spent time at the Ray Guy Kicking Academy, developing both kicking and coaching skills, and he is an active kicking coaching within Toronto.
