Trevor King joined the Lions coaching staff in 2015 after finishing his playing career with the team in 2014. Over two seasons at York, he started all 16 games on the offensive line while also serving as a team captain. He was the recipient of the inaugural York Lions Warrior Award in 2014 for his dedication and commitment to the football team, and for showing the characteristics of perseverance, honour, integrity and passion.

Prior to coming to York, King spent five seasons with the Regina Thunder, earning the team’s lineman of the year award twice, and he also played for his high school team at Thom Collegiate. While with the Trojans, he played on both sides of the ball, was a two-time lineman of the year and earned Regina Intercollegiate Football League (RIFL) all-star honours.
