Biography

2019: Earned U SPORTS second-team all-Canadian and OUA first-team all-star honours for the first time, York’s first all-Canadian since 2004 … Named the recipient of the OUA and U SPORTS Russ Jackson Award for academics, athletics and citizenship … Tied for third in the OUA with three interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown against Toronto as part of a two-interception game that earned him York’s male athlete of the week award … Tied for third on the team with 34 total tackles, including four tackles for a loss of 13 yards and one sack … Also had two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and three pass break-ups … Named the recipient of York’s Outstanding Male Graduate Award and received a Lions Legacy Award … Earned the team’s Frank Cosentino Team MVP Award.
 
2018: Returned from two injury-plagued seasons and started all eight games at defensive back … Led the team with 5.9 tackles per game and 47.5 total tackles which ranked ninth overall in the OUA … Broke up three passes on the season which was tied for second on the team … Attended the CFL’s regional and national combines … Earned the team’s Nobby Wirkowski Defensive MVP Trophy.
 
2017: Returned to the line-up after missing all of 2016 with an injury … Started three games at free safety before suffering another injury and missing the rest of the year … Tied for the team lead with 5.7 tackles per game and recorded 17 total tackles.
 
2015: Appeared in all eight games as a rookie receiver … Finished tied for third on the Lions in receptions (11) and sixth in receiving yards (94) … Recorded 2.5 tackles and had one interception while playing special teams … Finished second on the Lions in kick returns (17) and return yards (308).
 
Professional: Selected in the 4th round (35th overall) by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the 2019 CFL Entry Draft.
 
Provincial/national: Represented Canada at back-to-back U19 International Bowl in 2015 and 2016.
