Darrell Glenn

Darrell Glenn joined the Lions coaching staff in 2013, bringing with him tremendous experience after many years coaching at the post-secondary level.
 
He came to York from Humber College, where he spent six seasons as the head coach of the Hawks men’s basketball program. While there, Glenn led the Hawks to four Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) championships and was named the OCAA coach of the year three times (2004, 2006 and 2009). He also earned the national coach of the year award in 2009.
 
Glenn has plenty of international experience as an assistant coach with Canadian national teams at multiple age levels. He won bronze medals at the U21 world championships in 2005 and the FISU World University Games in 2007, and was on the staff for the FISU World University Games team that finished fifth in 2009.
 
He also previously served as the head coach of the U15 Ontario provincial team in 2002 and 2003, leading the squad to back-to-back national championships, and he spent time with Oliveri in Basketball Ontario’s player development program.
