Warren Williams

Warren Williams joined the Lions coaching staff as an assistant ahead of the 2010-11 season.
 
In addition to his work with the Lions, he is also an assistant coach with the under-17 boys’ provincial team, and was previously the head coach of the boys’ under-15 Ontario development team, a squad that was created for the first time in 2012. He also served as an assistant with the under-15 Ontario team that won the national gold medal in 2011.
 
Williams, a fully certified Level 3 coach and an NCCP learning facilitator, has been coaching within Ontario’s Centre for Performance since 2008 and also spent five years coaching within Ontario Basketball’s Elite Development Program. He has 11 years of coaching experience at the high school level and eight in the club system. He was also the head coach of the elite development team that won the gold medal at the Ontario Summer Games in 2010.
 
He graduated from York University with a degree in kinesiology and health science and is now a teacher at Applewood Heights Secondary School.
