2022-23: Started all 22 games for the Lions at forward… Averaged 18.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, both good for second on the team… Kamunga was the Lions most consistent player this season, scoring in double digits in 19 of the 22 games… He scored 20+ points in 11 games, and put up five double-doubles… He put up a season-best 26 points on two separate occasions, including a 26-point, 14-rebound performance on Feb. 4 at Western... Won the Charles Saundercook Memorial Trophy, given to the student-athlete who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, enthusiasm for life and the consideration of others.
2021-22 Started all 16 games at guard … Team MVP … First on the team and sixth in the OUA with 21.1 points per game … Recorded 6.6 rebounds per game … Second in the OUA with 33 blocks … Fourth in the OUA with 34 steals … Went 107-134 on free throws, good enough for second in the OUA ... Named York male athlete of the week for the period ending Nov. 28 after his best game of the season in the first contest of the week, scoring a game-high 25 points and adding six rebounds, six blocks, five steals and three assists … Named York male athlete of the week for the period ending Mar. 6 after recording 45 points in a win over Queen’s, the second highest single-game point total in York men’s basketball program history.

th in scoring (18.7) … Was also fifth in the conference in blocks (28) and led the Lions in all three categories, as well as total steals (27) … Finished third on the team and 11
th in the OUA with a 80.3 free throw percentage … Named York male athlete of the week for the period ending Jan. 13 after averaging 23.5 points and 14.5 rebounds … Drafted 11
th overall by the Edmonton Stingers in 2020 CEBL U SPORTS draft.
2018-19: Appeared in all 23 games and started 17 at guard … Tied for fourth on the team with 9.3 points per game … Led team with 37 percent three point percentage and ranked third with 49.4 percent field goal percentage … Averaged 22.7 minutes and 3.7 rebounds per game.
2017-18: Played in all 23 games and started 12 as a rookie guard … Ranked fifth in team scoring, and first among rookies, with 8.3 points per game … Was also second on the team in three-point shooting percentage at 31.6, putting him among the OUA’s top 50 … Also recorded 2.9 rebounds per game.
High school/club: Starred for the boys’ basketball team at College Francais … Was a top-three scorer in the GTA in grade 11 … In grade 10, helped his team win a TDSB regional championship.
