Biography

Profile: A competitive goaltender who makes himself big in the net and has good rebound control.


2022-23: Played 15 games between the pipes… Went 6-8-1 with a 3.35 goals against average and a .903 save percentage… He had six games of 35+ saves, including a 53-save performance in a 3-2 OT win over the Windsor Lancers on Nov. 18… For his Lions career, he went 15-23-1 with a 3.57 goals against average and a .900 save percentage… Won the Dave Chambers Most Outstanding Player Award for being the most integral part of the on-ice success of the Lions program as voted by his teammates.

2021-22: Played in 11 games and made nine starts… Put up a 3.76 goals against average and an .899 save percentage… The highlight of his season was a 47-save performance in the season finale against TMU which propelled York into the playoffs… He made 35+ saves in six different games, with a record of 5-1 in those games… Was named York’s male athlete of the week ending Feb. thanks to back-to-back dazzling performances against rival Toronto in which he made 36 and 35 saves, respectively, back-stopping the Lions to a couple of wins against the Blues.

 
2020-21: Season cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
 
2019-20: Appeared in 13 games as a rookie goaltender , including starting six in a row at the end of the season … Recorded a 3.68 goals against average and a .892 save percentage … Had a 4-9 record, with three of those wins coming in the final six games … Earned the first win of his career in a 3-2 result over Nipissing on Nov. 12 … Named York athlete of the week for the period ending Jan. 27 after stopping 37 pucks in a win over Brock, and 24 in an OT loss to Guelph.
 
Junior: Played in the OHL for three seasons with Hamilton, Guelph, Oshawa and Erie, appearing in a total of 63 games … His best run came in 2017-18 with the Generals, when he had a 3.47 goals against average and a .902 save percentage in 22 games.
 
Personal: Older brother, Cody, is a defenceman for the NHL’s Edmonton Oilers.
