David Ta joined the Lions’ coaching staff in 2017, bringing a combined 20+ years of experience in playing and coaching the sport of volleyball to athletes of all ages and abilities. As a NCCP Trained – Performance Coach, he was recently selected as the lead coach for the Team Ontario Black bubble team in the summer of 2021. He also worked with the Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) in their High Performance Regional Program and previous to that he was an assistant coach for the Region 5 Ontario Summer Games boys’ team.
Ta is currently the head coach of REACH Volleyball Club’s 17U Boys, where he successfully led his team to a second-place finish in the province for their inaugural season. He is also completing his NCCP Level 3 Volleyball Canada Performance Coach Accreditation.
