Greg Ivan joined the Lions coaching staff in 2014 after finishing a strong five-year career the previous season. In his time with the Lions, he started every match at middle blocker over four years and in three straight years was among the OUA’s top five in total blocks. In his final season, he was selected as an OUA second-team all-star.

Ivan was also a tremendous student, earning academic all-Canadian honours, and was heavily involved in many leadership roles, including as team captain and president of the York Sport Council. He was recognized for his achievements by being named the recipient of the OUA’s Dale Iwanoczko Sportsman Award in 2014.
