Rob Dyba

Rob Dyba has been an assistant coach with the Lions since 2012, and he also spent one year as the head coach in 2013-14 while his father, Wally, was on sabbatical. A passionate athlete, Rob’s blood bleeds Lions Red!
 
Dyba spent five years as a player on the York men’s volleyball team from 2003-08, winning an OUA championship in 2005 and earning conference all-star and libero of the year awards. He graduated from York in 2008 with a degree in kinesiology and health science.
 
He spent the first season after graduation from York as an assistant with the Seneca College Sting. He then went on to earn his master’s degree in coaching at the University of Alberta. While there, he served as a graduate-assistant coach with the Golden Bears men’s volleyball program for two years.
 
He has coached boys age division at the club level in Ontario with the Aurora Storm and the NAVC U17 and U18 teams in Alberta. He also served on the coaching staff of the national beach team program from 2009-11.
