Tim Jensen joins the Lions coaching staff this season after a highly-decorated five year playing career with the team. Jensen was named team captain for his last two years with the team and appeared in 59 matches and 134 sets as a left-handed outside hitter during his time with the team. His best season came in 2015-16, when he recorded 1.9 points per set, 1.4 kills per set, 19 blocks and four service aces. He also helped the Lions win the OUA bronze medal in 2014-15, which was the first provincial medal for the team since the 2004-05 season.

Upon graduating last spring, Jensen received the Lions Legacy Award and was named York’s Most Outstanding Male Graduate for his dedication and commitment to York athletics on and off the court. Jensen is also the older brother of current Lions player Patrick Jensen.
