Chanel Ramcharran fills the full-time assistant vacancy for the Lions, which became available in 2021. It isn’t Ramcharran’s first go-around as a women’s basketball coach in the GTA. She joins the Lions from the Rams, where she served as that program’s assistant coach in 2020.
Ramcharran played her collegiate basketball in the NCAA with the Bryant Bulldogs from 2013 to 2017, earning a degree in biology. She then transitioned to coaching with the OCAA’s Centennial Colts women’s basketball program. She stayed there for three seasons before joining the Rams. While she coached the Colts, Ramcharran earned a diploma in paramedicine from Centennial College.
