Affectionately known as "Shotty," Lindsay Shotbolt joined the Lions as an assistant coach ahead of the 2021-22 season, bringing a wealth of familiarity to the Lions assistant coach role. She was a standout member of the Lions women's basketball team for the 2017-18 season. She transferred to York from Carleton University and excelled in her lone year as a Lion. The Markham, Ont., native earned the team's MVP award, along with U SPORTS second-team all-Canadian honours – the first Lion named an all-Canadian since 1997.
