Victor Herbert joined the Lions coaching staff in 2015. A Toronto native, he attended Eastern Commerce High School and won back-to-back OFSAA championships before a five-year varsity career with the Acadia Axemen that included an Atlantic University Sport (AUS) title.
 
Herbert spent five years as the head coach at East York Collegiate Institute, where the Goliaths’ record improved in each season and made regular appearances in the A Division playoffs.
