Tracy Meloche

Anyone who knows the Gorman Shore Sport Injury Clinic knows that Tracy is the longstanding Certified Athletic Therapist around here. She is moving into her 20th year of working at York University as the Assistant Manager.

Tracy has an extensive list of achievements – both from a field care perspective having been to multiple major games, including the 2000 Summer Olympics and therapist for years to National Women’s Softball and Women’s basketball program.  From a clinical perspective, Tracy has never stopped learning and continues to challenge herself by taking post-graduate continuing education courses – all to help benefit the York Lion athlete. She was recently nominated and won a National award from the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association as the Outstanding Supervisory Athletic Therapist Award in 2017.

Tracy has put in an enormous amount of time towards student mentorship and National examination process.  Many graduates know that Tracy was integral in helping them pass their National exam and many athletes can give thanks to Tracy for her compassion and ensuring they simply return to the sport they love after their injury.  And most importantly, we all thank her for introducing us to Riley, the therapy dog!
