Petra Woods returns to York after a decorated career as a Lion and has been an assistant coach with the Lions since 2020. Petra has represented Canada at the U20 level as well as for the Maple Leaf XVs in 2016. As a Lion, Petra earned rookie of the year and all-star selections for the OUA Russell Division, as well as U SPORTS second-team all-Canadian honours in back-to-back seasons.

Petra has coached the Toronto Elite Reds Program and was the head coach of the Toronto Saracens Junior Girls U18 and U16 programs for four years. She has also competed on the national stage for Canada, being selected for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.
