Melissa Cutler

Dr. Melissa Cutler has been serving as the head coach of the women’s tennis team since 2022.

She led the Lions women’s team to a fifth-place finish at the 2024 OUA championships, as they won the consolation final by a 5-0 count over the Brock Badgers.

Cutler enjoyed an outstanding junior tennis career, earning the top provincial ranking in the U-12 category. Nationally, she achieved a career-high ranking of 17th in singles and 8th in doubles during her teenage years. With over 25 years of coaching experience across all levels of the sport, she emphasizes the importance of developing solid fundamental mechanics to help prevent injuries.

A certified Club Pro 2 instructor, Dr. Cutler spent two decades coaching at the Granite Club before joining Crosina at Mayfair in 2014. At Mayfair, she holds a dual role as High Performance Coach and Team Chiropractor.

Dr. Cutler earned her Honours Bachelor of Arts from Saint Louis University and later graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She holds certifications in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University, Active Release Techniques, and is a Certified Running Specialist through the Running Clinic. In addition to her clinical and coaching work, she contributes as a medical writer for the Ontario Tennis Association Magazine.
