Biography

Profile: An extremely talented left side player who can dominate on offence and defence.
 
2013-14: Started just 11 matches and 36 sets after an injury sidelined her for the second half of the season … Earned OUA East second-team all-star honours for the third straight year … Ranked fifth in the OUA and first on the Lions with 4.00 digs per set, the only player in the top five that was not a libero … Finished sixth in team scoring with 2.06 points per set … Named York’s female athlete of the week for the period ending Nov. 4.

2012-13: Earned OUA first-team all-star honours for the second straight season … Started all 18 matches on the left side … Finished seventh in the OUA with 3.71 digs per set, the only player in the top 10 that was not a libero … Was also second in service aces (32) and third in team scoring with 2.97 points per set.
 
2011-12: Started all 18 matches at left side … Named York’s female athlete of the year … Earned CIS second-team all-Canadian honours and OUA first-team all-star honours for the first time … Finished eighth in the OUA in scoring (3.56 points per set) and fourth in digs per set (4.27) … Led the Lions with 46 service aces.
 
2010-11: Appeared in all 19 matches as a rookie … Played libero and finished first on the team with 3.06 digs per set.
 
Club/provincial/national: Alongside the University of Manitoba’s Taylor Pischke in 2013, won the bronze medal at the under-23 world beach volleyball championship, won gold and silver medals at NORCECA events in Cuba and Mexico and was fourth at the FISU Games in Kazan, Russia … Won provincial and national beach championships in 2012 … Twice represented Canada at the FIVB junior world beach volleyball championships, winning a silver medal in 2011 … Earned the Ontario team of the year award in 2011 along with beach partner Victoria Altomare.
 
High school: Four-time team MVP in both girls volleyball and co-ed volleyball at Humberside … Earned the Helen Ricker award for excellence and leadership in 2009 and 2010.
 
Personal: Father, Hernan, is a former head coach of the York women’s volleyball team and coached a Canadian duo to Olympic bronze in 1996, and brother, Felipe, was a five-year member of the men’s volleyball team.
