Town graduated from York with a degree in kinesiology & health science in 2018 and was named an assistant coach with the York wrestling team in advance of the 2018-19 season. 
 
The Scarborough, Ont. native is one of the young stars for Canada Wrestling Lutte and had a spectacular 2018 year which included winning a gold medal at the U23 World Championships, silver medals at the FISU, U SPORTS and OUA championships, bronze medals at a Canada cup event and the senior Pan American championships, a senior national championships victory and a gold medal at the Canadian national team trials. She also competed at the senior world wrestling championships in October finishing in 12th place. 
 
Town spent four years with the Lions and is the most decorated women's wrestler in York program history. She competed in three seasons after an injury wiped out her third year, and won three OUA medals (two silvers, one bronze) and two U SPORTS medals (one silver, one bronze) while becoming York's first women's wrestling all-star and all-Canadian. She was also one of the most engaged student-athletes at York and was honoured for her efforts with a prestigious Lions Legacy Award at the conclusion of the 2017-18 school year.
