Dr. Hemen Shukla finished a fellowship in sport medicine through the University of Toronto and then successfully passed the Diploma of Sport Medicine exam through the Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine in July, 2008. He started as a varsity physician at York University in 2009.
Dr. Shukla spends his time working with varsity athletes as well as other athletes of all skill levels. He also works as a family physician at Women’s College Hospital, where he is a faculty member with the University of Toronto.
He has been invited to travel with various national teams for competitions in different parts of the world and was fortunate to work at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
