The result of the match was never really in doubt as the Lions rolled through the three sets with relative ease. The Gaels did not record more than 19 points in any set, with the Lions winning 25-15, 25-18 and 25-19.

The Gaels' leading scorer was Shannon Neville with 11 points on nine kills and two service aces and she also had eight digs, a team high.

After three straight games on the road, the Lions will finally play their home opener on Friday night and will play their next six games at the Tait McKenzie Centre. Up first is a contest against the undefeated Ryerson Rams at 6pm.
