Farkhunda Muhtaj scored in the 48
th minute to earn a point for the York University Lions women's soccer team in a 1-1 draw with the Windsor Lancers in Windsor, Ont., on Saturday evening.

Tamara Orlando and her counterpart at Windsor, Krystin Lawrence, both standing tall to make seven and eight saves, respectively.
Â
The Lancers got on the board first in the 26
th minute when Giulia Barile scored her first of the season to give the home team a 1-0 advantage. They carried that through the rest of the first half, but the Lions got on the board early in the second when Muhtaj scored in the 48
th minute.
Â
The Lancers had two more shots on goal right before the final whistle, but Orlando turned them both away.
Â
The Lions are now 0-1-1 on the season after opening weekend, while the Lancers recorded their second tie to begin the year and have two points.
Â
The Lions will now return home for their opener at Alumni Field on Wednesday night against the Guelph Gryphons beginning at 6pm.
