The York University Lions men's volleyball team took a loss to the Western Mustangs on Friday night, falling 3-0 in game sets that saw no more than a seven-point difference between both teams.
The Mustangs took the first set against the Lions by a score of 25-21. The Lions doubled in kills against the Mustangs with 14 kills to the Mustangs' seven. The Mustangs were also able to take the second set of the game with a 25-19 win. The third set saw the Lions score one point less than the third as the Mustangs beat York 25-18.
Andrew Tauhid finished the game with the most points for the Lions, leading with a total of 11, while
Patrick Jensen assisted his teammates with 26 assists throughout the game, the highest total in the contest.
The Lions are now 3-3 this season, while the Mustangs move up to their fourth win in a row for a 4-2 season record.
The Lions will be playing another road game Saturday night as they take on the Windsor Lancers at 8pm.
