The York University men's volleyball team defeated the Brock Badgers 3-0 on Saturday afternoon at Bob Davis Gym in St. Catharines, Ont.

Despite a close first set, the Lions easily led the Badgers through two more sets to pick up the 3-0 win. During the first set, the Badgers nearly caught up to the Lions near the end of the set, however York held onto their lead to defeat the Badgers by three points, 25-22. The second set was a breeze for the Lions, taking the set 25-17. Similarly, the Lions won the final set, 25-21 to defeat the Badgers.

With the win, the Lions are still sitting in a playoff spot, fourth place, four points ahead of the Nipissing Lakers. The Lions have five games left in the regular season to secure a spot in the playoffs.

The Lions were led by
Andrew Tauhid who earned 13.5 points, six digs, and one assist.
Aleksander Grzegorczyk had 13 points, and two digs, while
Logan Mend had 36 assists, four digs, and four points. Brock's Logan House earned nine points, two digs, and one assist.

The Lions will be travelling again to Hamilton, Ont. tomorrow to face the McMaster Marauders. The game is scheduled to start at 3pm.
